School Referendum News

District 200 Board of Education Resolution - February 23, 2006

WHEREAS, the Board of Education of District 90 has requested that the Board of Education of District 200 support an interest in the Education Fund tax rate; and

WHEREAS, Board of Education of District 90 has experienced insufficient revenues and expects this situation to continue; and

WHEREAS, Board of Education of District 90 will have to make significant reductions in its academic and co curricular programs unless it receives additional tax revenue; and

WHEREAS, Board of Education of District 90 works constantly to provide quality education for all school age children living in River Forest; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Education District 200 believe the character, quality and overall standing of the community will continue to be among the best in the area if educational programs are strongly supported.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Education District 200 does hereby support the passage of the River Forest Referendum, and respectfully asks the citizens of River Forest to likewise support this referendum by working to educate the community on the importance of the viability of that institution, by participating in the March 21, 2006 Primary Election, and by voting in favor of said Referendum.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Board of Education of River Forest District 90.
